The 2005 Tesla celebration dinner was a great success.  Around 100  people attended including prominent scientists, local and international dignitaries.  Among the guests were the Hon. Dr Judy Edwards, Minister for Science and Environment, His Excellency Milivoje Glisic, Ambassador of Serbia & Montenegro, and Professor Syed Islam from the Curtin University of Technology.  

The Evening started with a few drinks and light music. The official program was opened by Mr. B Grbovic chairman of the Tesla Forum who talked about the goals, objectives and achievements of the Forum. The Hon. Dr Judy Edwards followed, stressing the importance of science and research in the development of our society. Professor Syed Islam, concluded the official part of the program with a very inspiring overview of Tesla’s life and achievements. 

The evening was not all about the serious business of science, it had its fun too.  Tesla’s trivia quiz created a lot of healthy competition between the tables. Guests also enjoyed the “open the lock” lottery, with the main prize being a plaque of  Tesla.
