This year’s dinner was bigger and better then ever. Among the guests were the Hon. Dr Judy Edwards, Minister for Science and Environment, His Excellency Milivoje Glisic, Ambassador of Serbia, Prof Jasmina Vujic, University of California in Berkeley and Tesla Memorial Society of New York Inc, Janice Lake, Executive Director of Engineers Australia, Paul Nicholls, Director of Scitech, Professor Syed Islam of Curtin University of Technology, Professor Igor Bray of Murdoch University, Frank Tabbita actor from USA… The Evening was opportunity to reflect on importance of Tesla’s inventions for modern science. This year’s Tesla dinner was held as part of the events dedicated the 150th birthday of Nikola Tesla, here in Perth. During short span of several days we had the Tesla Play (USA) performed at Octagon theatre, International Conference dedicated to Tesla and bust unveiling ceremony at University of Western Australia. Guests were entertained by group of young talented musicians and dancers. Milica Ilic acclaimed WA classical guitarist enchanted guests with her beauty and talent as composer and guitar player. She was assisted by violist Nik Babic and singer Tamara Miletic. Dancers from the Perth Tango Academy spiced the evening with passionate tango dancing. We would like to thank all the guests who attended the dinner, the members, volunteers and sponsors that made the evening possible and very enjoyable. Special thanks to Igor Jacimovic, Aleksa Slijepcevic and Mladen Stevanovic, who were in charge of all necessary preparations and putting the program together.
